Our U8 boys played a football blitz this morning in the sweltering heat hosted by St Finbarrs H&F Club. A total of six games were played by our two teams we played against three senior clubs. Nemo Rangers, Bishopstown and St Finbarrs.
Six very competitive games with great defending, scoring and kick passing skills were on show by our boys and some great link up play in very humid conditions. According to the boys we won every game.
A very enjoyable morning of football was had by our 14 boys. Hurling blitz on Saturday week is next for this group of players.

U12 Ladies Footballers have a great win away to Nemo
Our U12s had a fantastic win this morning in the Summer League when they took on Nemo away. Nemo had the brighter start with a quick goal and point before Passage found their scoring boots. Nemo went in at the break a point ahead but Passage drove on in the second half with tenacious defending, taking some brilliant scores to claim the victory. Well done to both teams on a great game and thanks to Nemo Rangers for a very sporting match.

Junior Ladies Unbeaten Run comes to an end with Semi-Final Defeat – 9th July 2023
Our Juniors unbeaten run unfortunately came to an end yesterday evening at Manning Park at the hands of a strong Glanworth team at the semi final stage. Passage opened the scoring with an early goal from Laura Finlay before the North Cork side converted a goal of their own. The lead continued to change hands a number of times throughout the half with both sides exchanging points and adding a goal each to their tallies, Passage’s coming from the boot of Sarah O’Mahony. Glanworth went in at the break 2 points ahead; 2-6 to 2-4.
In the second half Glanworth’s experience began to show and they converted a number of scoring opportunities without reply. Passage continued to battle and did not let their heads drop, making Glanworth work hard for their scores and pushing on to create some of their own. Glanworth ran out deserved winners in the end on a scoreline of 3-12 to 2-7. A disappointing result but plenty of positives to be taken after a great league run. The panel will be further boosted with players returning from holidays before championship in August. This league campaign has been a great opportunity to give girls from the U16 panel their first taste of adult football and they have given a great account of themselves.
Sincere thanks for the great support for the team last night as they played on a pristine Manning Park pitch. We wish Glanworth LGFA all the best in the final.
